Mormon Metalmark Butterfly. This Threatened species occurs in only two places in Canada; southern BC and southern Saskatchewan. The ecology of the species is not well understood and efforts are underway to determine critical habitat and species distributions. I accompany biologists in their field work and assist in population counts, habitat inventories and provide photo documentation of the critical work they do in protecting this rare species.
